Okay......I'm having a little bit of a dilemma. It's been ongoing for a few months now. I'm trying to decide if I want to make the switch to digital scrapbooking. I see so many advantages......no mess, no picture printing, I can have the pics the size I want on the page without planning ahead (8x10 of a snapshot, etc...). I've invested quite a bit into stamps and stuff (I keep telling myself I would still use them for card making and little projects). What do you all do? I'm thinking of getting the Adobe Elements software for Christmas, but I'm nervous. It's the unknown. I have a tough time with change. Switching from 8 1/2 x 11 albums to 12 x 12 albums was a major event at our house. I couldn't decide for a long time and it was all I could think about. I'm currently having the same problem. Lichelle is probably laughing because she has answered my numerous questions on the topic.
If you are a scrapbooker....what do you do?

I guess I do digital scrapbooking...I just keep the pictures as digital images in my computer. No mess, no expense.

I like having something layed and hand made. I can't say I won't make the switch, but for now I like making mine by hand. It's not just a book of memories it's a heirloom.
I meant layered not layed.
I have been going back and forth also. I have been thinking about switching for Kenedy's third year and see what I think. I use the digital stuff for projects that you have to mass produce because I love creating, but I hate doing the same project over and over! I do like the look of the real thing better than the printed stuff, but I love not having a mess when I'm finished. So in my book, digital and the real deal are tied! About Adobe, I have it and can't figure it out. I am pretty good with the computer, so I think. I have a tutorial CD that I need to watch, but I have been too lazy. Right now I am using Scrapbook Factory, which is easy to use, but the program is slow! I need to just learn how to use Adobe! One day! Keep us posted on what you decide.

Maggie, I am in the SAME predicament as you. I do Stampin' Up as a business and have sooooooooo many stamps. I love doing the handmade books but it takes tons of time and money. I have been thinking of going digital too but don't want to give up what I love...my hobby is using my hands and creativity, so I think I will keep with my stamps for now!
I think I'm with the majority. I like having something with my blood, sweat and tears on it to pass on.
I agree with allot of folks on here. I like the idea of digital for the convienience but something to pass on to someone would be so much more meaningful done bye hand. I know I would rather have something handmade from someone vs a printed item just because it makes you feel special that someone took the time to make something just for you. It gives the item sentimate and a value that just cannot be replaced. But to each his own. Whatever works best!

I started digital and I LOVE it. But that's me. I hate the mess and I don't have anywhere to keep it out all the time. Plus, how to you take kids to a scrapbook store? Anyway, I've found it works best for me. I like the idea of combining both though. Maybe I'll try that. I use Microsoft Digital Image Suite and it's EASY. I would highly recommend it. I ended up getting it free with a rebate from Best Buy. Good luck!
Hey Margaret! I am starting to do the digital scrapbooking. I go through Top-Line creations.com. They have software that you can buy for about 45$ I think and then they have the cutest downloads. So Flipping cute! I did Jacob's signature book and sent it to the company and had it printed off, but you can also save it onto a disk and take it to a place and hav it printed and bound in a book too. You arent tied to that company. However....what does this mean about the stamps? :)
